The saw whet owl is a small, relatively quiet owl that gets its name from its call, which sounds like a saw being sharpened. It can be rather docile when found, and is fairly timid and shy compared to other owls. You most likely are a quiet person who does not need to get attention by making a scene or trying to outdo others.
