rivendellroseRead an an interesting article today about what the average internet user is really like. And then there's this article, which makes me more glad than I can say that I'm not at a school of compulsive, twitchy, performance-drug-addicted morons like Harvard. ....At least I hope I'm not.
Sadly, if anybody was interested in hearing the Howard Shore interview that NPR's Fresh Air played last Friday, I wouldn't recommend it. I listened last night, and it turns out to have been an archived interview from 2002, mainly talking about his work for the movie Scanners. The 2-5 minutes (including intro, of course) which actually have to do with Lord of the Rings would be better replaced by simply listening to one of the Uruk-Hai tracks on the soundtrack - the only bit they played - and all that they talked with him about was what influenced his soundtrack for what I assume was Fellowship at that point. And he didn't even give any really interesting answers. *Sad*
Also, here is a new, visual version of that lovely US state thing. I like this version, even though it makes it look even more like I haven't gone anywhere. Also, I realize that I didn't put Idaho down the last time it went through... I'm dumb, what can I say? God only knows how I managed to forget the infamous Snow Crown of 2003. ;)
