Had a good walk and ran some errands today, and got the charger situation with my phone fixed - yay! Turns out that the cable the cat chewed actually disconnects from the cradle part, so all I really needed was a DC-in cable. *Headdesk* All that panic over nothing!

Anyway, it has been a good day. And now I'm going to write.

I'm glad you had a good day, and you got the phone fixed, YAY!
I'm glad your phone was such an easy fix. I ended up getting a new phone, went I went to get a new battery, they said "It's too old" nobody carried my battery anymore.
Now that you have your phone again, let me know what you hear from your Dad about Thanksgiving, so I know how many I'm cooking for.
I didn't think to invite Kendra, because she always goes to her family for the holidays, but if she's not going for some reason, she is, of course invited. The boy too if it works out he has nothing to do that day, as we talked about earlier.

Me too!

I'll be with Dad's family for Thanksgiving, looks like - I'm meeting up with him on Wednesday night. I probably won't be spending the whole weekend with him, though, so if you want to hang out give me a call!

Always good to find you don't have to spend as much money as you thought you'd have to. *grin*

So, I don't know if you saw a reply I wrote in an earlier post saying that Thursday Abbie shoved Twilight in my hands and said I had to read it?
I'm almost half way through, and I'm not seeing any of the abusiveness that I keep hearing about. With all the comments that have been flying around about it, I almost feel embarrassed to admit that so far I'm really enjoying the book. It's a little sophomoric in a few places, but it IS about a high school girl. Anyway, I just thought I would put my 2 cents in about what I've read so far.

Shoot, sorry - I saw the comment, but I was busy at work and forgot to reply.

Gwynne had the same thing when she read the first book - it's not really "abusive" so much as seriously stalkerish and controlling, and all that stuff comes up in the second and third books, from what I've heard.

There's also the fun of Caesarian-section-by-vampire-fangs, if you make it to the last book. Trust me - the whole series is not as normal as it initially appears. ;)

C-section by vampire-fangs? What, they couldn't find nail clippers to make it a little less painful or a little more plausible? That ought to be amusing if the movies get that far. Hmmm, well I'm enjoying the first book thus far anyway. ;D

Yeah, that was the tipping point for me - before that I figured "eh, can't be any crazier than most of the other vampire books out there." After I read that bit (a friend put up quotes on her LJ), I decided it was a bit more than usual. ;)

Glad you're having fun with the first one, though!
