So, apparently we had an earthquake this morning.

Only a 4.5, I'm told, and given that it was at 5:30 this morning, I'm not really surprised that I didn't notice it (I have many times proved that, yes, I can sleep through just about anything), but... this does perhaps explain why the cat woke me up at 5:47 being a total wackjob.

...Oh, wait. He does that most mornings. Never mind.

In other news - watching Ultraviolet for the first time. ♥♥♥ This show is so awesome. ♥

I'm... actually not sure? This is the British TV show about a vampire-investigation group that only lasted for 6 or something episodes, but which has Jack Davenport and Susannah Harker in? It's pretty awesome... I heard they made an American knock-off that wasn't any good, but I'm not sure about a movie.

Oh, then I doubt it. The movie was about a woman named Ultraviolet, played by Milla Jovovich ♥. It was by the same guy that made the Christian Bale film Equilibrium, and while it wasn't bad, it could have been better.

Funny, though, with the similar name!

Nah, they're completely unrelated. I watched the TV series when it first aired in the late 90s, it was a lot of fun. Never did see the Milla Jovovich film.

There's a coincidence -- I hauled out my box set of that the other night on a whim, because my girlfriend hadn't seen it. We only watched the first episode, but she already said, "I think I love this show."

I just wish there was more of it.

I have to go find this fic, now! We finished the show over the weekend, and now I'm traumatized that there's no more!

And I wrote In Extremis for a NYR the year before that. It's about Michael and Jack. Um. I like to think it's hot.

I also wrote an Ultraviolet/House crossover... but I'm not sure if you're up on the latter. Or even just season 1, which is when it's set. I should really finish that one of these days. ;)
