and weather fails me, again

rivendellroseIt's snowing. Again. I'm going to be very happy to see the 40-60 degree temperatures forecast for LA this weekend. ;)
Passed over my keys to Mom last night, and went to dinner and hung out, which was awesome, and then finished up with sewing the straps onto my costume dress... so that means tonight I pretty much just have to pack, and I'll be ready to go tomorrow! I'm a little worried about transporting the straw hat, but I should be okay, I think, if I put it in a plastic bag and tie it to the top straps of my backpack or something like that.
The Boy went home sick with a nasty cold a few hours ago, which makes me sad because we can't chat when we're not busy at work like we usually do. Bad timing, too - if I weren't leaving tomorrow, I'd be able to go over and take care of him after work, but that's not possible right now.
I heard the new stimulus package for the economy passed the Senate, so I guess I should go take a look at what it has going on. It'd be nice if things quit closing and going out of business and firing employees. Really nice. :/
