Feb. 17th, 2004 09:47 pmWhy does my work think it's acceptable for them to schedule me a furniture set-up job at 7am on Thursday? On top of a 4:30-7:30pm job that same afternoon??? Particularly when the afternoon one is something I've never done before???
My schedule, unless I am sorely mistaken, says that I don't want to work before 7:30. I'm pretty damned sure it even says I don't want to work before 8:30 and I'm just taking the MGH job because I volunteered for it last quarter and kept it through.
And of course I can't ask to not do it because I forgot to check my box on Friday... and now it's only 2 days until the event.
I have a mini-performance at 8:30 that morning for my Shakespeare class. I'm supposed to wear a skirt and all. When the fuck am I going to find time to actually look nice if I'm supposed to haul myself out of bed and do a job hauling furniture around at 7am???
All I can hope is that it won't take the full hour. Oh, sweet gods, please let it not take the full hour. And thank god I'll be able to go home for an hour after Shakespeare class to change and drop off my stuff before I go to my regular job at 10:30.
Thursday is a busy-ass day already... why did they have to make it worse??? I know I need the money, but that is just plain going to be painful.
I'm going to bed. I need desperately to shift my sleep schedule back a bit if I'm going to survive the rest of this week.

Date: 2004-02-18 06:26 am (UTC)Sorry about that sweety, no way you can find someone to take the one hour job on thursday morning, huh? or trade an hour with someone somewhere?
Murphy's law would of course make it on the same
day that you have your performance. *HUGS*
How was your scroll practicing night at CT's ?
