BPAL - always new stuff I kind of want

Oh, BPAL, you're so mean to me. I made an order with nightsinger a while ago, we're expecting it to come in soon, so last night when I checked in on them, I wasn't really expecting them to have anything new - usually they only update every few months, and the next update would normally be for Christmas stuff. But not this time apparently.

This time, they have a new Hellboy line, based on the comics.

Fortunately, doesn't look like they're limited editions, because while I don't think I can excuse another order right now, I am, unsurprisingly... considering the Abe scent. Liz sounds nice, too, though I doubt I'll get around to both. ♥

There won't be a Nuala, unfortunately - they're basing the scents off the comics, not the movies, and Nuala doesn't exist in those. Makes me a bit sad - scents based off her and her brother would be wonderful!

Lame as this sounds, I've been using various BPAL scents as aromatherapy of late, mainly Green Label 13 and Mole. No, I don't think they have any actual healing properties, but I do find them comforting.

Totally understood. I use them for that, too, and for writing (helps to get the right mindset for a character, if I can find a scent that fits). As much as aromatherapy as a science strikes me as pretty much bunk, on a personal level scents have huge effect on emotion, and there's no sense not using that to our advantage.

I'm still a bit peeved I decided against Mole when it was available - it made sense at the time, I'm sure, but I might have to troll the boards a bit to see if anybody has imps of it for sale. Like I need to spend more money on perfume... but it does sound utterly heavenly. ;)

I love using BPAL for inspiration when I write! A good chunk of "Memento Mori" was inspired by Uruk.

I'll ask Becca to bring her decanting supplies when she visits and see about making you an imp. You really will like Mole, I think. It's just wonderful. &hearts

Ooo. If you could, that would be glorious, and I would of course find a way of paying you back. ....Which reminds me that I still owe you a blasted Dalek t-shirt, if I can ever figure out what happened to the stencil when I moved. Yikes. *Headdesk*
