I left the church I attended in high school because a similar form of stupidity surrounding the awesomely dinosaurific movie Jurassic Park made me realize I was weekly surrounding myself with people who wanted to be willfully ignorant. Nevermind the intolerance and bigotry also prevalent there.
The inability of some people to separate fact and fiction sometimes astounds and depresses me.
