Dora, Ann and

nekokoban came over this afternoon to rejoice in being done with finals... but the rejoicing was somewhat marred by the feeling of "ohmigod I did so horribly on the (fill in the blank) final," with added layers of "now I have to tell my parents!" for poor Pippin in particular. Approximate dialogue was as follows (they must forgive me for misquoting them possibly, but you get the gist) -

Group in general: "Wah, our grades this quarter are gonna suck!"

Terra: "I have to call my parents tonight! What am I gonna say??"

Dora: (v. sarcastic): "Oh, but Asian parents are so easy to tell that sort of thing!"

Ann: "Yeah, we're all Asians here, we all know about that".... Looks at me.... "Oh, except you, Jen!"

Me: "Yeah, I'll just be over here being Caucasian."

Pauses, looks down at wine being drunk from a tea-up. "Ohmigod I'm a cultural stereotype, too! I'm German-Irish and all, sitting here drinking alcohol out of a tea-cup - on St. Patrick's Day!"
