Never read the books, either. I've seen all three movies, though - tavern_wench1 has a sick sense of humor, and gets a kick out of going to movies like this, sitting in the back-row, and mocking the living hell out of them. Not something I'd choose to do alone by a long stretch, but it's awfully damned funny with a couple of friends.
