Beautiful folk singer/songwriter from Illinois, plays the banjo like a demon and sings like an angel, borrows stylistically and linguistically from both traditional American folk / "old time music" and from Mandarin Chinese folk music. Also lead singer and banjo player for the Sparrow Quartet and the band Uncle Earl. Her debut solo album "Songs of the Traveling Daughter" is the soundtrack that Firefly should have had. ♥
