Hey, local folks - Westboro Baptist Church is planning to protest at SlutWalk and the Pride picnic in Volunteer Park in Seattle this weekend.

If you run into them, do be sure to give them a good concept of how little Seattle cares for having their nonsense peddled in our city.

.. . okay, so . . that woman from WBC seriously said that rape is a message from God? Wow. That's . . . I'm kinda lacking in words here. My first thought was "I bet she wouldn't think that way if it happened to her" . . and then my next thought was, " . . actually, she probably would." Which is just incredibly sad.

Agreed, she probably would. Which... I guess that's okay for her. If that's how you want to cope, and it helps you, that's cool. But don't go forcing that attitude on other people - that's not okay.

I'm thinking it might very well. I hope so, at least. I'm not really the parading sort (I know, sounds lame, but still), and we've got a busy weekend coming up, but I know I'd be damned tempted to join in on both if it weren't for that.
