As much as I love Shran, he is the type of person who follows the Imperial Guard's orders above all , even when he disagrees with those orders
Ash also, sadly, fails the marriage test, because as much as I would like to believe that we've seen the last of Voq taking over, I can't trust that yet. He's going to need to go at least a full year without an attempted murder (and certainly without any actual murders, regardless of whether that person is absolutely definitely going to come back or not) before I can totally believe that we've seen the last of him being controlled by his, er, other personality. Sadly, my suspicion is that he will not make it through season two without some kind of resurgence of his past issues.
Ergo, Neroon is the one I'd marry. I am content with this because despite his grouchiness and occasional tendency toward beating Marcus bloody and things like that, Neroon is a highly principled man who does what he believes is right, even when he is being directly ordered to do the opposite of that thing. He follows his own beliefs about right and wrong, and he is also demonstrably capable of reconsidering those decisions and realizing that he's made mistakes, and then doing his level best (to the point of self-sacrifice) to remedy his mistakes. He's also got a dreamy voice, and we could live on Minbar, which sounds quite nice. I'd also be okay with living on a warship at least part-time, though.
After that, with apologies to Shran, the situation becomes quite simple. Frankly, if I'm choosing a one-night stand with one of the two of them then Ash Tyler is the winner because that boy is so pretty it makes my teeth hurt, whereas Shran's appeal is a little bit more... a little less... bless him, he's just not on the same level, is what I'm trying to say. So I cliff poor Shran, and shag Ash.

Definitely agree that a tendency to follow his conscience and ability to change his outlook are MUCH more attractive than anger issues.
I think I expected you to say marry Lt Bambi, but there's those pesky identity issues to consider, true. And I'm sure a one night stand would work out better than his last one. It has to, right?
Shran is blue (a point in his favour generally, as is being played by Jeffrey Coombs). As an Andorian I think he'll be just fine tumbling off that cliff. He can meet his space boyfriend at the bottom, anyway.
💙💙💙
(It's remarkable how blue hearts work for all of Minbari, Andorians, and Disco uniforms!)
((Please accept this Philippa icon in lieu of Ash.))

Date: 2018-12-22 11:28 pm (UTC)Neroon is one of those characters who changes so much from the first to the last time that we see him, that it's almost like he's unrecognizable... and yet every step along the way feels entirely reasonable and like a natural step for his character. And, honestly, Delenn did make everything so much worse that first time we met him. He's a grumpy jerk, but he's an immensely principled grumpy jerk, and I have endless fondness for him. Plus, by the last few episodes with him, he looks at Delenn with the kind of marvelously exasperated fondness that I would normally expect to find in a Regency romance. ♥
Poor Shran would expect to be the one tumbling down a cliff, too. It's the way his life goes. *pets him* Hopefully, yes, Archer is waiting for him at the bottom.
(Blue hearts! I can't do that on desktop, but they really are so perfect for everybody!)
Whoops, and, lastly, of course I accept a Philippa in lieu of Ash. Good lord, I'm just glad you didn't put her into the mix, because I'd have had to cliff everybody in order to marry her. :P
