only two more weeks!
May. 27th, 2004 10:52 amJoy and panic have never been so fully combined.
Anyway, our performance group for Shakespeare is finally starting to fall together - we perform exactly a week from today. Unfortunately, we saw the performance of the first act today and it was absolutely fabulous... so we'll have some serious stuff to live up to by the time they get to our act. *sighs*
Spent half an hour talking to my Scandinavian mythology professor after class yesterday. It started out as just a silly thing, but I ended up getting some good advice about grad school and careers, so it was very much worth it. I really think I'm going to end up in teaching - the thought kind of makes me wince at times, but at others I get very into the idea.
This weekend, I somehow have to write five pages of rough draft on a paper subject that I barely feel has enough material for 3 pages... hopefully I can find some criticism or something to quote, or else I'm royally screwed. At least that's the last of it - that paper and two final exams.
Not a very interesting update, I know. I'm in the computer lab between jobs, and this screen is hurting my eyes for some strange reason. I worked on my novel a bit today and yesterday, though! And I'm even making progress on Cora's Slytherin scarf! Go me!!
*Can't wait for Prisoner of Azkaban* If random!chick from the Times thought David Thewlis and Alan Rickman's performances were good, just imagine how fangirlish I'll probably get.......... XD
ETA:

I love you guys - take care of yourselves, both of you. You're both going through a lot of really crummy stuff right now, but I know it'll get better and I just want you both to know that whenever you need me, for whatever, I'm here.

Date: 2004-05-28 10:13 am (UTC)Yeah, we'll have to work something out when we both have a bit of time to breathe again. I turn in my last final on the 9th, though, so that's not too far off for me.
*Hugs* Take care!
