Phew. All better, and set for the summer, more or less.

Haven't started the always-thrilling job hunt, yet, although the office job I was talking about a while ago has not panned out - sadly, their website listed no jobs for which I was qualified. So that's one option scratched off the list. *Sighs*

Other than that, I've just been reading and lazing around, mostly, with a dose of kitten-sitting to keep me busy from time to time. I reread Goblet of Fire over the last few days, and am now working on rereading Order of the Phoenix, and reading Joanne Harris's most recent book, Holy Fools.

Oh, and the weirdest thing happened the other night - we rented "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves"... and I swear that a few of the scenes I've seen in it before (not to mention which people are always quoting at me) were missing! So, for my mental well-being, where the hell in the movie is the scene with the whole "why a spoon?" "because it'll HURT MORE" exchange???? Where is the scene where someone is sewing up a cut on the Sheriff (and is that the same as the previous one)? And isn't there a bit with him and a bunch of other guys in masks around a fire???

It's not that big a deal, I was just astounded by the fact that they weren't there at all. Stupid DVD.

XD

I've never seen that movie, but it seems worthy of further investigation on my part. ^_~

I did, however, see Fight Club. Have you? It was quite good, and very slashy.

Sadly, I'm a huge wimp about most fight scenes and gore and the like in movies, and also not a fan of Brad Pitt... so Fight Club didn't seem like a movie I was destined to see.

Well, yes, I only saw it because it became necessary. There is a certain author whose story I am adapting into a movie, and it's her favourite movie and she was inspired to write by the book and attributes her success to Chuck P. (the author of the book) ... so I had to see it.

Yes, if you are a wimp about fight scenes, it's definitely not the movie for you. I normally shy away from ultra-violent media, but I liked the philosiphy behind it, so... ^^
