costume-y ponderings

ursule made me, so I had originally planned to do the "Time Lord Barbie" type costume that goes with that scarf... but I'm not so sure about the pink coat. If I'm going to have a coat made for a costume, I want it to be something I'll actually wear, and pink... not so much my thing. So I'm trying to be creative while still recognizable.
The con is in April. Since my (currently chin-length) hair will obviously not be mid-back length by that time, I'm already not going to quite fit the bill for exact cos-play. So I'm trying to figure out what I can do in the way of something that is Romana, but not a specific outfit.
Bleh. Or maybe I should give in and go for the pink coat, after all. I don't hate pink. I just dislike the idea of having a whole coat made for one event, and there's no way I'd find something close enough just off-the-rack. :P
I wrote fic and made new icons this weekend, but I forgot my thumb-drive at home. So no updates just yet. Sad.
