Snape won't quit biting my toes

Naming a pet, especially a rambunctious kitten, after a fictional character presents some highly amusing moments. Especially if said character happens to be a surly, glowering potions master.

The mental images are just hilarious.

For instance, praising Snape for finally figuring out the idea of the litter box, after the umpteen billionth time putting him in, praising him, and rubbing his feet in the sand.

XD I think it was the habit of chewing on fingers and bouncing on people when they're trying to sleep that gave us the idea... he's a cutie, but boy is he trouble!

He's very cute, and they're certainly all trouble - it's just been a while since I've been around a kitten like this. It takes forever to write a little comment like this, 'cause he's bouncing all over biting me and standing on the keys.

Oh, I'll have to do that, once the scanner's hooked up!

hehehe, it is my new favorite icon and cleolinda should be fangirled. I don't know how I'm going to go watch PoA again and keep a straight face. I swear, the movies in 15 minutes just keep ruining things.

And my parents absolutely refuse to let me get a cat and name it Snape. *grumble* Damn family members with allergies...

They do make it tough! I was rereading PoA last night, and during the first Care of Magical Creatures class, I just sat there thinking "Out of the way plebe! It's my turn on the horseybird" and giggling like a madwoman.

Granted, it was also about 3:30 am....

I have a parakeet that I call He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named, occasionally You-Know-Who, and frequently Moldy Voldie.

So technically I could be in a situation where You-Know-Who relieves himself on my shoulder ( *_t )



.... and then I have a cat named Nearly-Brainless-Nick (because he is, I swear, the stupid animal runs into WALLS).


XD I can imagine getting a black cat sometime and naming it Snape. It would be especially funny if I were still with my current girlfriend at that point, since she has Snapeophobia (seriously, if she saw a Boggart, it'd turn into naked!Snape). I can almost hear it now, "Stop licking yourself, Snape! Don't chew on that, Snape!"

Hey, Erin! I'm sorry it took me so long to get to this comment - LJ was being a butt the day you made it, then I spazzed on going back.

I'm down in Renton, sadly, but that's not too far away to get together if we work something out in advance. Right now I'm trying to find a job for summer, though, so I really should (*smacks self as a reminder*) be concentrating on that.
