But when you think of it, the SCA is the sole world-wide organization with people who specialize in helping people make up a name for themselves.
And here, from NPR, is a linguist discussing swearing. (It's down toward the bottom of the page.) Geoff Nunberg is a genius, I swear - I love to listen to his thoughts, and makes his usual insightful points on this subject.
We're going to a lunecheon/tea/thing at the governor's mansion today... and that sounds as though I'm trying to write some sort of historical novel instead of my journal entry, doesn't it? Amazing, the weird situations that knowing people who Know People can get you into. Anyway, after that it's off to Powells, since we'll be down toward that direction already, so I won't be around a lot today.
I'd better go figure out what I'm wearing.
