Had a really nice day today, although I've gotten pretty depressed right here at the end of it. My sinuses are trying to expand and take up my whole head, which is just not comfortable, and I'm freaked out about money issues for the coming year. No surprise there, since I get freaked out about this every year, but it's worse this year since I have no job at all right now.

Tomorrow, I think I should get up early and take a walk up the road, stopping by all the places I've applied at and checking in with them. And there's still the interview on Thursday with Starbucks - maybe something will come of that. I'm scared, though, because I just know I'm going to fuck up a bunch of yuppies' coffees and they're gonna hate me. *headdesk* I know nothing about coffee - I should not be working making triple grande white chocolate lattes with soy and no whip, or whatever when I don't even really know what all that means. But I'm desperate - I'll do any kind of work, pretty much, so long as it isn't actually dangerous.

My eyes hurt. I'm going to bed.

Hmmm... I'll have to look up when and where September Crown is, definitely - I usually go to that, at least. Anything I do will depend a lot on my job, whenever I get one. I would very much like to go to a few more summer events, though, now that I've got my membership.

September Crown is in Washington this year, first weekend of September I think, maybe out by the coast?

I take it you're not up for Celebration of Chivalry this weekend?

It is cool, but now aelfgyfu keeps pressuring me to do Kingdom A&S just because she has to be there ;)

No, I have a house-warming party for some friends this weekend.

*Laughs* Yeah, that'd be a bit of a problem. It's fun having people to go to these things with, though.

Yeah, I definitely got into the SCA via a combination of "all my friends are doing it" and "men with long hair are hot" ;)

Ahhhh, yes - I have a feeling a great many of us were pulled in by the combination of those factors. Peer pressure and lust... what better encouragement could a person ask for?
