New Place, etc.
May. 29th, 2003 03:44 pmSo, I got to see my new house (the place I'm staying for the summer) on Tuesday afternoon... it's great. It's up on 47th just a block away from the Safeway and really close to the little teriyaki place (and Cedars, which is really dangerous for me...) Ancient little place, with an ugly outside, but very pretty on the inside. Little kitchen (kind of ratty, but ok), nice dining room, really awesome living room with a nice, sunny porch and a fireplace we're going to fill with candles, and lots of weird little nooks and stuff. And my bedroom is so pretty! The walls are this really nice brownish-reddish sort of color on the walls, with white ceiling and trim, and it's got two windows with trees right outside, and I *adore* it. I can't wait to move in. So, yeah. Everybody should come visit me there sometime after I move in (the 12th of June).
Ugh. I now return to my regularly scheduled attempts to stay cool in this damned hot dorm room and finish Apuleius' stupid Golden Ass. And the Light of St. Bunstable Scroll.... damnit. Slap me the next time I start volunteering for something. Seriously, *either* autocratting *or* painting the scroll would've been fine. But I really am not liking doing both. It's not even like it's taking that much effort to autocrat... it's just that one extra thing I don't want to be thinking about. That niggling little stress that says "I'm in charge of this damned thing, and if it goes under, it's my damned fault."
*Twitches* Gods, I hope this turns out all right....
