virus warning
Sep. 18th, 2004 10:19 pmA virus warning came out over the English Majors community, and I thought I'd share, since it seemed awfully pertinent to all of us.
The following email is supposedly being sent out to LJ users:
Dear LiveJournal user,
We have recently noticed that you haven't updated your LiveJournal in
awhile. If you would like to keep your LiveJournal account, you must sign in
within the next 24 hours.
You may sign in at: {link removed}
Failure to sign in within the next 24 hours will result in account termination.
The link is a virus, apparently. Which makes a lot of sense since if you wanted to update your journal... you'd just go to livejournal.com/update.bml. Not some random link sent to you by LJ. And I've left one of my journals inactive for months now, and it's fine. So this is totally bogus if it's claiming all of that.
In other news, video cards suck.
