...According to Empire magazine, at least. I was a little surprised by the order the movie stars were listed in, if not by the actual content of the list.

Honestly, though - putting Sean Connery at #13? That just seems wrong. And although I'm pleased about Alan Rickman placing #19.... rating him above Dame Judi Dench just feels weird. I guess that's what you get in this kind of vote-in thing...

One woman in the top ten, and that's Sigourney Weaver? I have a lot of respect for her, but compared to Dame Judi or Helen Mirren? There were other women I'd have liked to see, but they're mostly still only really known in the UK (or outside the States, anyway) so if it was a popular choice thing, that explains their absence.

Yeah, I know. I was very frustrated with the lack of women in this list - older female actresses never get the respect they deserve!

I can't believe Judy Dench placed below Sigourney Weaver, and why didn't Susan Sarandon make the list at all? and a few others , I won't name them all, but, come on!

I know! Susan Sarandon is amazing, and Dame Judi is definitely better than Sigourney Weaver, no insult to Sigourney.

Did these people have to be still alive? Because if not, where in the hell is Charlie Chaplin? ::sulks::

Jack Nicholson was so scary in The Shining. *___*

I think it was still-alive people, yeah. If not, they'd have a TON of people missing.

Never seen it, but I can imagine - he's kind of a scary guy.

Robert De Niro as number one?

He plays the same role over and over again! Oy.

And. Hi. Where's Lynn Redgrave?

Yeah, the whole list is kind of messed up... but that's what we get for letting vote-in readers decide something like this, I guess.
