Interview!

Here it is--the interview meme! With much thanks to Jyuu_chan for the questions. Anybody who wants to answer questions from me can reply and say "interview me!" or some variant thereof and I will get back to you ASAP.
1. What do you think, among your friends, is a common misconception they have about you?
I'd guess my friends mostly think I'm more innocent than I am, if I had to come up with something.
2. You can become a member of another culture - you'd still be you (with your memories), but you'd be fluent in another language (if necessary), have the appropriate mannerisms, and look however you need to... so what culture would you choose?
Any other culture, huh? *thinks*... This one is really tough. I can think of plenty of cultures I'd love to visit--you know, just to see things, enjoy a new perspective and new experiences for a while. But it's hard to pick one for a permanent basis--people in the modern world generally don't know how well we've got it, in a cultural sense. But right now, I'd pick the Vikings. I've been learning a lot about them this last quarter, and really enjoying everything I've picked up. It was a brutal time, but also an interesting one... and honestly, I'd have as much freedom as I would, being a woman, for just about anything before the modern era.
3. You're pagan, but what does that entail exactly? Who do you worship and how?
First, my answers to this are going to be different than most other pagans. All faith-groups have a lot of variation, but since "pagan" is an umbrella-term, it's even more prominent with us. I worship a Goddess and a God, who are my images of the divine in the universe. I celebrate 8 holidays through the year on the summer and winter solstice, the spring and autumn equinox, and another four on cross-quarters (May 1, October 31, August 1, and February 1). I pray every night, and have been trying to get into the habit of doing so more frequently, either in the morning or at meals. Otherwise, I try to be mindful of nature and other people, working to better myself and help the world. I don't cast spells, but I do believe in... extremely coincidental events that I usually refer to as gifts or games of the gods, or sometimes of the Fair Folk if I'm in a really silly mood. I doubt that I actually believe in the Fey... but it never hurts to ask them to please give me back whatever they've stolen. ;)
4. You can live in the clouds, the depths of the ocean, or in a deep cave... One assumes you'd take on attributes to deal with your new element (fish tail, wings, etc). Which would you prefer and why?
I think I'd like to live in the clouds, because I've wondered what it would be like to fly with my own wings. And I could still enjoy most of the things I like to see living here on the earth, like trees and watching people, and the weather. Also, I love watching the stars, and it would be wonderful to not have the barrier of the clouds between them and me.
5. So, this new guy, is he the Derek that KC and I met at that Vampire game Ron was running? If not, elaborate. Hell, if it -is- elaborate!
Yes, that's him! Kind of tall, slim, shoulder-length brown hair. Derek is a friend of mine from highschool, and we'd been emailing and IMing on and off, increasingly often, and then hanging out a lot. And then he finally nudged me into admitting I'd only been saying that it wouldn't work if we went out because I thought *he* thought we wouldn't work. So we're trying it out. It's really nice going out with a guy I already know kind of, and who I feel really comfortable around. He goes to University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, and is a psychology major... I think he'll be a senior next year. And he's taking his 2nd degree black belt test next week. Nice guy; I'm happy.
