state love
Nov. 4th, 2004 11:57 amStolen from
amberdiceless - List ten things you love about your state, and add one thing you love about the state of the person you took it from.
Washington State Love:
1. Pike Place Market.
2. The Space Needle.
3. The San Juan Islands.
4. The Olympic National Rainforest.
5. Tons of other national parks and hiking areas, and just plain forests.
6. Seafood!
7. Moutains all over the place - most of them active volanos. ;)
8. Boating, whether by power-boat, sailboat (my favorite) or ferry.
9. Wildlife - whales, owls, eagles, pileated woodpeckers (we had one in front of our house once!), hawks, coyotes, bears, deer, raccoons, opossums, sea lions, salmon, elk, sea otters, assorted tide-pool creatures, and cougars. And no poisonous snakes, at least in the western half.
10. The University of Washington, particularly the gothic architecture on some buildings.
Michigan: If you think about it, it's probably the state for which it's hardest to come up with a name of the inhabitants. (That sentence completely doesn't work, and I can't figure out how to make it work.)
No, really. I love that kind of thing. Michiganians? Would that work?
