hating tuesdays
Nov. 23rd, 2004 04:10 pmI really need to get better at this whole 'packing for the whole day because I can't come home til 10:30' thing. Like... making a lunch the night before. And not forgetting my tea-cup. And making absolutely sure I have my scarf, hat, and gloves (I do, I just had a moment of fear when I thought I didn't).
On the plus side, I hung out with people in the ADP room today, visited with
ratzeo, Dora, and
coramegan, and watched a hilarious British car show called Top Gear. I looooove that show. Which is really weird, since I can't stand lots of talk about cars, normally.
We had food in my seminar today. Bread, brie, some other kind of cheese I didn't recognize, and not!wine (also known as WINE). Why not!wine? Because it's a class, of course. So no... that wasn't wine. It was fake!wine. Or something. After two cups, I was drowsing off, turning pink when I talked, and talking a heck of a lot more than I usually do. But hey, we all were. And one of the guys dressed as Gertrude Stein and read some of her poems. That was awesome.
I love my seminar prof. That woman is truly fabulous. And so's the class, although I'll probably be cursing it later this weekend when I'm trying to write my take-home essays. Ah well. We're required to take no more than four hours on them, so I can live with it. XD
Oh, and we have to have a plumber out to the house, because the basement plumbing is evil. *Growls*

Date: 2004-11-23 05:19 pm (UTC)I'm assuming that the landlord will pay for that, from what Kari's Dad said, you girls are pretty safe from any situation like that.
(so unlike the last house you rented)
Hopefully it will be taken care of quickly and easily.
Glad you got to spend time with Ratzeo and Coramegan!
Give Sir Theoden a smooch for me!

Date: 2004-11-23 08:02 pm (UTC)Apparently a plumber will be by tomorrow at about 12:30. At least that was the last word I heard on it. Hopefully it's something easily fixed, and yeah, I'm pretty sure Mr Nugent will be handling everything with this. It's one of those "clearly, this is not our fault" kind of things.
