Saw [livejournal.com profile] zinjadu off on her taxi to the airport this morning, and gave the dog his big new bone - he was very happy and immediately carried it off, hardly even noticing when I left for work. Last night, we watched "Blow Dry," and part of "Galaxy Quest" - I'd forgotten how much I love "Blow Dry." Such a horribly cute movie.

Hopefully the house will still be there and not chewed to crap by puppy-loneliness when I get back. I think I put everything chew-able into the basement, but it's so hard to think of everything. At least he was relatively easy to sleep with last night - only one moment of panic when I realized I'd left my slippers on the floor and had to haul myself up to find them and then sleep the rest of the night with them tucked against my stomach. Because we all know how much dogs loooove slippers.

Going to try to finish the achievement for the college tonight. And watch "10 Things I Hate About You," which we rented last night but didn't get to. Knitting continues well, but I need to get to a cheaper place before I buy the yarn for Christmas presents - I'm sorry, but I'm not spending $10 for a few yards of yarn to make snow-boarding hats for my step-brothers. They're teenagers - I don't think they'll care that the yarn isn't pure wool fluffy fleece stuff.

All those who know how crummy I am with computers will be amused to hear that I was essentially considered the Livejournal expert here at work. O.o

ETA: Got my grades for last quarter, finally. Not quite so good as I usually hope for (especially for stupid Colonial American Lit), but good enough. Definitely will not be graduating "cum laude," however. Is that really how you spell that? Really shouldn't care about either of those things...

Oh, and HAPPY SOLSTICE to those who celebrated yesterday! We also got a number of lovely cards yesterday - many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] tiffangelwings and to [livejournal.com profile] jyuu_chan, and to the wonderful [livejournal.com profile] lovelies for the card to the whole house - Kari and I practically bounced with joy when we saw your card. Our fire-place mantle is so wonderfully full!
