I have only one question regarding this production of Macbeth:

CAN I FIND IT ON VIDEO OR DVD??? PLEASE?

One or the other alone would be enough to send me into fits of actor-worshipping glee, but Sir Ian McKellan as Macbeth AND Dame Judi Dench as Lady Macbeth? Actor-worship coronary is more like it!!!

I checked online, and our Hollywood video does not carry it. :-( But I'm sure it's around somewhere.

Eh, we can find it somewhere. If I get truly desperate, at some point in the future I can check Scarecrow.

Oh wow! That would be so cool.
I once saw a clip from a stage production of Taming of the Shrew (I think?) with those two, and it was marvelous :)

Oooo. Best I've seen was Midsummer Night's Dream, with Ian Holm as Puck and a very young Dame Judi as Titania - quite good performances from them, despite the exceedingly 60s style of the production in general. ;)

Umm... http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0079499/dvd

I want that one. Have been looking for it ever since I saw it 10-15 years ago. McKellen is brilliant. Dame Judi is no slouch either, of course. ;)

Aha, thank you! I had no idea IMDB had such a handy little feature... must remember that, in the future.

I'd definitely be looking to see it before owning it - how often does one really wake up in the middle of the night with a hankering to watch "Macbeth?" - but it looks lovely.

You're most welcome. :)

I higly recommend it, but then, it has a special place in my heart seeing as it was what first introduced me to both McKellen and Dench.
