I really need to find a consistent way to stabilize my moods. Nothing deep in that, just tired of the cranky feeling I get when stupid little things don't want to work for me, despite otherwise going through a perfectly good day. Focusing on pleasant images or memories does seem to help, at least. And listening to music, too - when my MP3 player isn't being a bitch, at least.

Watched a very good episode of "Highlander" with the housemates last night, and Terra and I spent the rest of the evening mocking poor Methos' happy-puppy reaction to getting a date. That man is entirely too cute.

I have no desire to do anything other than draw, or maybe write something fun, at the moment... and that's exactly what I can't be doing. I need to write my response for Modern Poetry. And then go to that class. And then read the Vapnfjord Saga. And do my job. And, if I have time, read "Kim." And go home and sleep. Fuuuuuun.

ETA: I love 3 Doors Down. They're swiftly becoming another of my "all the tension just sweeps out of my body" bands. *Sighs contentedly*

Music is always good for stablilising my mood. As is reading.
And taking big calming breaths. I know that sounds silly, but I had a counsellor who drummed in to the importance of calming breaths and it's amazing how well they work :)

Calming breaths aren't silly at all. I'm a big believer in the power of the body to control the mind, and vice versa - controlling your posture and breathing and things like that, and altering your mood via what your body and face are doing.

Meditation, I'm trying it in conjunction with my meds to bring my blood pressure down. Find a tape, or a book? When I find one I really like, I'll let you ry it if you like.

Good idea - I really should get back to trying that. More than that, I should get back to yoga - I miss that. I'll have to get a book or something with positions.
