Me as of yesterday at 2pm: No, no - I don't have time for any new RPs. Nor do I really want one. Unless I could find a sane LotR RP that would actually let me play Eomer... but no.

Me as of 5pm: Okay, I'll hear the description for the new table-top game you're running, but I really don't have time right now, I'm sorry.

Me as of 6pm: I'll think about it. I'm not sure I have the time. But it's kind of tempting.

Me as of 8pm: *Has a character fully statted up, part of a backstory written, and is grumbling about how character sketch isn't coming out the way she wanted.*

....Damn. That really didn't go the way I planned it.

In other news, Methos is adorable. And Duncan is hard to draw.

*g* I know how you feel.

Are you sure you don't want to join Darkness Fading, though? Because we do still need an Eomer...

*Whimpers*

I keep checking that one, since it's the only one I've found that didn't give me hives from bad grammar or some other problem. I'm a teeeensy bit dubious about the style of the game - I've had problems with that style before in that it's hard to get my character out to interact with others. At the same time... it's not like the relationships aren't established already...

Crap, that's tempting. Lemme take a peek around and see if I really feel like I'm up to it.

HeeHee, you are so cute! I went and saw Phantom of the Opera yesterday with Jim. It was amazing! I don't think he was QUITE as into it as I was. Caught him starting to doze a few times *grins*
Going to Shawna's b-day party today. I don't have to work tomorrow, so I was wondering if you wanted a ride home from work tonight. Just let me know!

Isn't it great?! Awww, poor Jim - I suppose it is an acquired taste, isn't it? *grins*

Have fun at the party, and say Hi for me! Oooo... ride home..... that might be nice.

Is it 10:30 on Sundays that you get off? I think it is, I know you start later, but the time you get off....am pretty sure remains the same. Yes?
I will say "Hi" to all for you and wish Shawna a Happy Birthday in your behalf.
I'll see you tonight!

Her name is Halldis Havransdottir (*hasn't been reading way too much Scandinavian sagas, of course not!*), and she is - a twenty-seven year-old widowed barmaid who works in her uncle's tavern. *Laughs* No class or anything yet, because we want to see what happens if you just build a person and let them develop naturally. I'm enjoying her, if only because she's so salt-of-the-earth and no-nonsense, in my mind.

27 year old widowed barmaid...sounds like a fun character.
Can't wait to hear what you do with her!

Yeah, I can see how that campaign premise would be very seductive . . .

It's so nice to not feel like I'm building a rogue or a bard or a ranger or what-have-you, but just a character I like, and then deal with whatever happens to her later as it comes. And the premise of moving from a fairly basic little logging town out, eventually, to a very nasty otherworld in which all our characters will have a lot of growing up to do... that just tweaks the actor/writer in me. ;)
