FEY! KARI! TERRA! KATIE!

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0935057/

*DIES*

Be still, my heart. No, seriously. I can't... eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Completely ignoring the shitty plot and the lack of anyone else cast and everything else because.... *Squee*

Note to the housemates: if you don't reply to this in five minutes, I'm calling the house to scream it to you all. Just so you know. Because you must know immediately. And my excitement can only be held in check for so long.

.........

...Oh, and the paper is going okay.

Edit: Okay, now that I got the neurotic squeeing out of my system, I would just like to note that a) I'm not totally insane, b) Yes, I'm aware this movie, should it ever be actually made, will be shit, and c) I blame caffeine and stress. And the incredible cuteness that is Peter Wingfield.

Also, I was out hunting his IMDB bio for pics for my mom, not just randomly lurking. Just so it doesn't look too crazy.

Oh, and I really did call the house. *headdesk* I'm that desperate to avoid trying to piece together this paper.

All of the Highlander movies are shit. Which doesn't mean I didn't just squeeeeeee over that for about 5 minutes. Hee :D Am also highly amused that it's "Duncan MacLeod and his fellow Immortals", but only Peter is credited.

. . . now I want a Methos-centric movie. He wasn't IN the last one NEARLY enough.

I haven't seen them, but I've heard horror stories. Although part of me is going "wait... a movie with Sean Connery can't be that bad..." But that's just my obsession with afore-mentioned Scotsman talking. I know, isn't that funny?! I'm still squeeing, but it's mostly with the joy of seeing Peter Wingfield in anything that isn't just a 2-second bit part or something.

Mmmm, Methos. Although a movie all about him wouldn't be nearly so fun as a movie about him and Duncan, etc. But sadly, there is no hope of getting Adrian Paul, since he... what, fell off the face of the earth?. And that is sad. Because despite being a kind of so-so actor, he's awfully cute.

They're worse than you can imagine ;) Although the most recent one at least had the pretty men. And the first one had some Sean Connery.

Adrian Paul wouldn't be back? Dude. That's sad.

I dunno, I've seen some pretty crummy movies. ;) You said something about Methos being in a teeny bit of the last one - are we talking Adrian-Paul!Methos, I hope?

The feeling about Adrian Paul was more Fey's word than any knowledge on my part - I'd been under the impression that he hadn't done anything in ages, but looking at his IMDB profile, he's actually had a couple of parts in things coming through the last few years, up to two things supposedly in post-production currently. So... you never know, I guess.

There can be only one...

the rest are sequels and of inferior quality. ;)

Heheheh. I've been sucked into the series, but haven't yet forced myself to watch the movies. The series has at least the side-benefit of lots of cute men. Even if I do occasionally find their plot devices laughable. ;)

The thing that bugs me about the concept itself is... at least with TV-series!Duncan, I can just imagine him getting it down to him and all his friends left... and him just kind of going "okay, this is good. Let's have whiskey and watch movies for the rest of eternity."

I guess "there can be only ten" just didn't sound like a good tag-line.

You know of course, that if the guy that plays Duncan is the same guy that's in the series....you'll have to take your CAT to the movies, right?

*Laughs* Oh, I'm sure I'd be a huge hit at the theater. "Excuse me, miss, are you saving that seat for someone?" "No, that's my cat. See, in the box? He had to see this."

XD

Of course you'd be a huge hit at the theater, Theoden is much cuter, and MUCH more charming than most men.
The only risk is having him be kidnapped, ermmm....catnapped.

I can totally picture him, now, sitting in his little seat with a harness on to keep him from running all over the place. With some popcorn. And a little bowl of soda.

And this is Duncan. http://www.widomaker.com/~syzygy/ap1.jpg

Who somehow is always either wet, shirtless, or a bit of both. http://wetmen.provocateuse.com/images/men/adrian_paul_01.jpg You can see why this is such a fun show, even though these aren't THE most fabulous pics. ;)

Remember that conversation we had, where we were both comparing men we found attractive and we had pretty much *no* middle ground?

We have found the middle ground.

And the middle ground is hot.

I still have my doubts about this movie ever coming into being. It's been in production for supposedly three years now, and when it started Adrian Paul was the driving force behind it. And if Pete couldn't save The-Movie-We-Do-Not-Name, I have little hope that he could save whatever travesty this is. But I am irky and pessimistic about Highlander movies.

(And yes, she did really call house. It was highly amusing.)

BTW, plate is in the fridge for you for when you get home. Citrus chicken and friole came out very nice!

Awww, poor Peter. *Pats him* Hey, even if it never comes into being, I have that memory of the totally insane joy it brought me to see that listing.

And, umm... "The-Movie-We-Do-Not-Name?" You never told me Peter was in a movie about Voldemort... ;)

Wheee, thank you.

Ahh, okay. It was really that awful? I mean, you guys keep talking about how it was bad beyond belief, but... what kind of bad are we talking? Like, "Van Helsing" bad, unintentional "Army of Darkness" bad, or "Timeline" bad?

He also has Louis XIV's birthday. On a random note.

Exactly twenty-three years older than me. Which isn't as bad as Viggo actually.....

I don't even know how old Thewlis is.

Hehehe, good point. Viggo, Alan... what can I say? Men of our generation just don't have as much character, yet.

Thewlis was born... apparently, on March 20, 1963.

Oh dear god - fandom collision. He's in that "Kingdom of Heaven" movie. With Orlando Bloom. And Liam Neeson. And Marton Csokas (*coughs*Celeborn*coughs*). And Alexander Siddig.

o.O If Peter Wingfield was in that, they would pretty much have one (or more!) person from each of my fandoms.

Date: 2005-02-09 02:50 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] narsilion.livejournal.com
What?? when I saw the preview I only saw Orlando and Liam Neeson! Are you saying that David Thewlis, Martin Csokas, AND Alexander Siddig are in that movie too?? *squees*

ext_18428: (Default)
From: [identity profile] rivendellrose.livejournal.com
The bad part would be that David Thewlis plays "the hospitaller" (probably a ten-second role), Marton Csokas probably has just as little air time... and we all know why they have Sid. Why? Because they need a few token Arabs. Since, you know... the movie is about Jerusalem.

*Sighs* Alas, poor Sid. He's been the token Arab in the last four movies he's been in. Poor little guy.
