rivendellroseI have no idea why, but after staying up *REALLY* late last night, I magically woke up at 11am this morning and just knew I wasn't going to be able to sleep anymore. Argh. So I'll probably pass out at something like 9:30 tonight, I guess... or be awake forever and just decide to walk to the U-Bookstore as soon as it opens tomorrow morning.
Heh... yeah. I'll probably be there at 10am anyway. I can't help it. I have this lingering terror that if I don't get there at least kind of early, there won't be any copies left by the time I get there. I know it probably isn't true--I know they massively overstock this sort of thing--but still. And if you don't know what I'm talking about then I'm not telling you because you'll just look at me like I'm insane. Which I am, of course. But at least it's not the only thing I've been thinking about for the last week--and believe me, I know plenty of people who could honestly say that.
The party last night was fun, even if it was awkward for the first hour or so as we all kind of sat around like "wow... we have nothing to talk about." A game of Apples to Apples, the arrival of Jyuu_chan and Stormwolf, some drinks and the later arrival of Derek totally cured me of all that, and I had a great night. And Stormwolf totally delighted Derek by stopping in the middle of a sentence to check Margot's verdict on his eyes as "very pretty," which totally cracked me up.
Today, I'm going to pick up my final exam book from my English prof, and then trying to finish some applications and maybe returing them (although that's unlikely considering the time). Tomorrow, I'll be going back home for a friend's 21st birthday party. So that should be interesting. And on monday I start my new regime of work from 9:30-1pm (with a break in the middle)... and then job-hunting for more hours. Blech.
