Poor Terra - her door bit her this morning while we were trying to get ready for class. :(
Also, I'm a moron. I forgot my lunch. I'm not sure yet whether I'll be coming back to get it or not - I might be able to, but I might also just kind of give up and go to Honeybee's or somewhere like that for dinner tonight, instead. So either way, I'll live.
In other news, I blame last night's Highlander for my complete lack of ability to concentrate in class today. Damn Peter Wingfield for being so attractive. That collar-bone still haunts me. As does pretty much everything else about him in that ep.
Conversation Terra and I had on the way to class today:
Me: The Daily could probably report the coming of the apocalypse, and I wouldn't notice.
Terra: Unless they mentioned the Horsemen?
Me: Oh yeah. If they mentioned the Horsemen, I'd plunk myself right down and read the whole article. "Death, Death..... but which Death? Are we talking Terry Pratchett's Death, Neil Gaiman's Death, or...? Why don't they have pictures, damn it?!"
[/nonsensical Highlander reference]
Edit: Because the last thing we need is me writing my usual ten-thousand posts before I even get to work.
Had coffee (or rather orange and Odwalla bar, for me) with
erynn_lasgalen, who I realize now is my oldest pure-college friend. Had much fun chatting about classes, trying not to graduate, pretty men, insane fascinations (god, I wonder what the rest of the folks in the cafe thought of me giggling and going on about how crazy it is that I get obsessed with big noses...), and weird guys. So much fun.
I really should be writing my response and clerihews. Yes, a clerihew. It's a kind of short poem, apparently. And I'm supposed to write some. Argh.
Example of a clerihew (not mine, sadly):
Dick Cheney
Hates sand because it's grainy;
There's lots in Iraq
So he decided to attack.
Oh! And the project night last night was really really fun! I'm very glad
theladyfeylene and I made it to this one, and the fritters were fabulous. It's good getting out and seeing people again, even if only for a little while.
