seeking tutorials

So, if people know of any good how-to's or tutorials for GIMP, I'm in the market for one. I finally got the program from the lovely theladyfeylene, and now I'm putzing around trying to figure the damned thing out. I know it's got a lot of potential, but I'm still too wigged out by the new interface to make it do anything, so far. *Laughs* As an example, I have yet to get it to fully cooperate with me on cropping an image... yeah, I'm that confused.

I'm sure I'll figure it out in time (gods know it took me long enough to figure anything out on PhotoDraw, but I managed that okay...), but for the time being I'm ready to take a break. I have a feeling I'll be skipping back and forth between it and PhotoDraw quite a bit until I figure GIMP out more successfully.

A graphics program. It should be pretty good once I get used to it, but for the moment it's really different from what I'm used to, so I'm having some trouble.

It stands for Graphic something Manipulation Program. A damn good program, especially for freeware.
