This had to be written. Apologies to both Iron Chef and Highlander fans. Once something like this gets in my mind, I can't let it go.

Summary, etc: Focuses on Duncan. No warnings, aside from silliness. A different kind of challenge for the Highlander. ;)


"Are you prepared?"

Duncan nodded, his hands already sweating. He was ready. His hair was tied, he'd gotten a good look at the battle-ground, he had a plan... There were some pretty big unknowns in this challenge, but he was confident that he could work with whatever they threw at him.

The flamboyant Japanese gentleman grinned. "Today's theme is - mutton!"

I can do this! Thrilled, he moved to the stoves and began feverish preparations…

"Mac?"

Duncan snapped awake. "Richie? I..."

"You okay, Mac? You were pretty worked up, looked like."

Sighing, Duncan laid back. "Just dreaming about a challenge.”
