computer woes
Apr. 24th, 2005 10:47 amClaire (my computer) has been having Issues. She freezes a lot, and going through the start-up tray and cleaning out my internet cache has helped some, but not completely fixed the problem. I ran MacAfee virus scan, ran Spybot, cleaned stuff out... still have one bug that MacAffee doesn't know how to fix, but I think Sean explained how to get rid of that, so maybe that'll help if I can manage it.
I'm just frustrated. She's normally not this pissy, and, of course, about 70% of my work this quarter requires the computer. So I'm a bit edgy about her being so... unreliable.

Date: 2005-04-29 02:43 am (UTC)If you think it might be memory related freezing, try something like "Free Ram XP Pro" or some other memory manager.
Download a trial of "Tune Up Utilities 2004" and run through that. It helped my computer a lot.
um... is there a pattern to the crashing? Programs that are running every time? Amount of time the computer has been running? Anything like that?
