and more drabbles!
Apr. 25th, 2005 04:11 pmAlrighty - I just turned in my commentary for my anthro class, and my archaeology midterm this morning went pretty well, so I get to write more drabbles before getting back to work!
For
narsilion, who requested "fun and fluffy" Amy and Methos romance. This one's a double, because... well, I liked it a lot, and Methos won't shut up. :D
After her fourth jaw-popping yawn in ten minutes, Amy turned off the recorder and tossed her notepad aside. "I'm sorry, I'm too tired to take good notes. Can we stop for tonight?
"Ah, so now's the time for all the sordid tales I don't want getting back to the Watchers? Alright, there was this gorgeous temple virgin back in Babylon..." Methos trailed off as Amy giggled and shoved his arm. "You don't want to hear that one? Alright, I know, the one about the Irish nun and the goat."
"Stop it! I can't tell if you're joking or not, half the time. Especially not when I'm tired!"
Methos grinned. "All the better. Keeps you guessing."
"Sadist. It's my job to know all your secrets, the least you could do is make it simple to tell fact from fiction."
"I have an image to uphold. It's not easy being a legend, you know. Besides..." He leaned close, whispering against her ear. "If I told you everything now, how could we keep up the late night chats?" Soft lips kissed her cheek, and a thumb smoothed her jaw. “More tomorrow?”
“Tomorrow.” Amy watched him leave. At least the surprises were good ones.
And for
coramegan, who requested Cho and Luna coming to an understanding:
Nothing bothers a Ravenclaw like a mystery, and Cho was a mystery to Luna. The dark-haired girl was everything normal teenagers aspire to… and nothing Luna understood. So one night after dinner, Luna followed her housemate. It was like the research ventures her father went on… until Cho sat down and cried in a corner high in Ravenclaw tower, where no one else went.
Luna stepped out and handed Cho a spotted handkerchief.
“Luna?” Cho sniffled.
“Keep it. I have a lot of different ones, if you want more.” They talked late that night, and Luna felt another mystery evaporate.

Date: 2005-04-26 12:50 am (UTC)I'm not usually a Cho fan, or Luna for that matter, but that was nice too, I don't feel like Cho is such a bitch, I actually felt sorry for her. Isn't it amazing that just 100 words can make you feel so good (or in the Methos and Amy story, 200?)
Can I think of another prompt, or do you have too many already?

Date: 2005-04-26 01:54 am (UTC)Go right ahead! I haven't had too many prompts, and I suck at coming up with drabble themes on my own.

Date: 2005-04-26 02:57 am (UTC)How about Joe and Methos, talking seriously about one of Joe's bad war experiences?

Date: 2005-04-26 03:28 am (UTC)*Wince* I'll get back to you on the Joe and Methos one... I'm not sure I could do it justice. I'll see what I can do, though. If I can't quite touch exactly what you're suggesting, I'll try for something close.
