drabble-ness, etc
Apr. 28th, 2005 11:57 amI think this is the last of the requested drabbles -
tiffangelwings requested Happy!Ed from FMA, so here it is.
Military work consumed Edward Elric's day - endless paperwork and assignments, research, and beneath it all, the constant search for the Philosopher's Stone. The officers weren't bad - he liked Armstrong, Havoc and Fury despite how strange they were, Hawkeye was strangely kind... and he was getting used to Mustang, the arrogant bastard.
At night, though, he was free. When they weren't researching, he could sit up with Al all night, talking about all the crazy things they'd seen, and teasing until they were too tired to think of the bad memories of the past.
At night, he was content.
ETA: I forgot one!
narsilion requested that I see what might happen if Duncan, Methos, Joe, Mulder and Scully were allowed to briefly meet up. Scary as it is, I had to try... and it kind of morphed. I meant to add in Duncan and Methos, but it's a double as it is, and Amy fit better... so I apologize. I'll try to add a few more later as Mulder and Scully continue their investigation. *g*
"Come on. The investigation can't go forward til tomorrow - a drink and some real food'll be good for us."
Joe glanced up and smiled at the suited couple in the door. The woman was a real looker - red hair around her shoulders, and a face of porcelain. Tall gawky guy was one lucky sonofabitch, even if she did roll her eyes at him. He took their orders - a gin and tonic, a Long Island ice tea, and an appetizer plate - and busied himself with making their drinks.
"Joe, MacLeod's on the phone, he wants--" Amy stopped in the door to the back room. "Oh, sorry. I didn't realize."
"S'okay. Take 'em their drinks, I'll deal with Mac." His left sleeve caught on the tap for an instant as he handed her the tray, and he casually pulled it back down before heading back to deal with the phone.
"Maybe we can talk to you a minute about your boss," the woman suggested as Amy set down the tray. "Is this his only job? It must be a lot of work for a gentleman of his age."
Amy’s smile went icy. “He gets on just fine.”
Damn the drabble format... I had more I wanted to do in that one, but I just can't make it fit.
If anybody else wants to request something or an additional drabble to what I've already written, I'm still keeping it open just because I've discovered I really like writing these things. Expect more of the silly little buggers in the future. ;)
Got a bunch of painting done on the Domesday Book laste night after finishing my homework, and now I think I'm gonna play with the fic for a bit before I head off for lunch and class.
