For
zodikins, a Harry Potter drabble with Hagrid getting in trouble because of some ferrets:
A sharp pounding on the door of his hut woke Hagrid from a heavy sleep. "Right, I'm comin'! Hold yer--Snape?"
The potions master sneered, holding up a pair of wriggling ferrets. "Yours, I presume?"
"Blimey, ye found 'em! Little rascals turned up missin' yesterday, where'd they get to?"
"My store-room. They shattered seven very rare vials."
“Er… sorry ‘bout that. Inquisitive little buggers, shiny things reallly get ‘em goin’…”
Snape glowered. “The headmaster will hear of this, Hagrid. And those things will be potions ingredients if I catch them out again.”
Snape thrust the animals at Hagrid and left.
And for
miss_arel, an FMA drabble with Scar and kittens:
The man known only as Scar slipped into an alleyway and watched the military officers scurry past him. There were too many, that time, with too much firepower and too few alchemists - it wasn't worth the sacrifice of all the innocents in the surrounding buildings. He crouched low behind a crate, trying to catch his breath... and heard a sound.
Instantly alert, he tracked the sound to a hole in the bottom of the crate, and a pile of fur and green eyes - a cat and her litter of kittens had chosen the same shelter he had sought.
