skirt and heels

The weird dreams continue, which is surprising since I don't usually remember my dreams during the week. The one last night was sort of a "I understand where this is coming from, okay, but that doesn't make it any less weird" sort.

I have an interview today... damn I really want to land a second job soon. I don't like this whole not making as much money as I know I ought to, or working as much as I know I ought to thing. Please, something, call me back soon. Also, where the hell is my dress jacket? I couldn't find it this morning. Which is odd, since it never leaves my closet except when being worn, and even that isn't all that often.

And I really, desperately, badly need to find shirts that go with my yellow skirt and my orange skirt. Because they're totally cute and would be fabulous for interviews if I could just find something that coordinated with them.

bus woes

Dear Today's Driver of the Metro Route #54:

Thank you oh so very much for making me late to my interview today. While I'm sure it was terribly important for us to sit for ten minutes at Union street downtown while you chatted up the driver of the previous run (who had already made us five minutes late, I should point out), I was unimpressed with the horrible impression you caused me to make on what might otherwise have been a lovely place of employment.

I shall also blame you for the fact that I forgot to turn off my cellphone before going in, as I was so stunned by being late that I didn't think to check it, and, thus, of course my phone went off during the interview.

You have tarnished my faith in our otherwise-wonderful public transit system.

they must be desperate...

Either the place I interviewed at today is desperate, all the candidates after me sucked royally, or my little "please please please give me something!" prayers got to the right ear. I have a second interview on Friday. *glee*

Of course, that means I have to put together another nice-looking interview outfit. Eep. But still!

And! Another of the places I wrote to wants to talk to me and possibly set up an interview! Things are moving again!!!
