how not to be stupid on communities

If I see one more post on anthropologist from some idiot who can't figure out how to look up relevant books for an essay, I am leaving the community. I just can't stand the temptation to reply "And how long have you been alive without figuring out how to use a library catalog?"

Honestly, people. If posting to an online community is your best idea of how to find research materials, it's time to admit that you are not cut out for academia.

a little note on height...

After a few "interesting" hiccups in which I messed up the relative height of some pair of the Doctors, I thought it might be useful to go through and actually write down all their heights from IMDB. (Obsessive? Who, me?)

Anyway, here's the list, if anyone is interested. It's... rather amusing, IMHO.

I was going to compile a similar list for major companions, but so far the only one I can actually find a listed height for is Elisabeth Sladen at 5'4". Still, the more you know, er... the less likely you are to inadvertently claim that Eight was a good deal taller than Seven, like I did in a recent fic. Oops.
