coramegan for this, because she wrote up a list of things she wants to do in her life... and that got me thinking.
1. Learn to play the guitar. Not well, perhaps, but for crying out loud, I'd like to be able to do more than pluck out a tune.
2. Keep up my French to at least a vaguely functional level, and add one more language to some degree of functionality.
3. Write at least one complete novel. Send it out to publishers. Don't care if it gets published or not, just get it out there. (I believe in small, achievable goals.)
4. Travel
-England
-France
-Somewhere in Scandinavia (Norway? Iceland?)
-New Zealand
-Kauai again
I wouldn't mind Greece, Egypt and Italy, either, but those aren't quite such certainties.
5. Learn to actually run a sailboat, rather than just acting as back-up crew. Incidentally, I also want to learn how to navigate by the stars and/or sun. Not for any practical reason, but because that sort of thing fascinates me.
6. Read every play written by Shakespeare at least once.
7. Act on stage in at least one more production.
I think that's enough to be getting on with for the moment. I also think I should either work on my paper or go to bed.
