my cat is crazy

As revenge for his flea-sponge and bath last night, Theoden knocked a nearly-full container of laundry detergent off the shelf above the washer and dryer this morning. The cap broke, and detergent spilled all over the floor and some throw-carpet things. I used two bath towels, two dish towels, and assorted other fabric things to try to sop the detergent up, then hung the carpets over our balcony, and completely missed my first class. Whatever, it was just a lecture on archaeological ethics, apparently.

I'm exhausted. I think I might have left my new purse out where the cat might chew it, when I was getting my cellphone and keys out this morning. I really hope he doesn't do anything to it. zinjadu or nekokoban, if you could brave my room when you guys get home and move my purse off my bed and up onto the top shelf with my leather box, I would love you guys forever.

I love my cat. He's my baby, and I adore him. But I really don't want to have to sacrifice my brand new purse to his weird chewing habit.

i cant leave my makeup brushes out, or my cat attacks them and chews them. I dont know what theyre made of but he loves it...

Theo chews on all sorts of crazy stuff. He especially loves shoes (he adores foam flip-flops, it seems), metal chair legs, pop cans and/or the plastic holder things around them, my leather messenger bag, my hairbrush, his brush.... anything!

Except the chew toy I bought him from the pet supply place, of course. He'll rub on that and occasionally nibble it if I'm holding it for him, but otherwise? No way.

haha. I cant believe your cat chews on all those things! weird materials :) my cat doesnt chew much but he rubs his face on anything and everything. It's funny. =)

will you be able to make it until thursday on cat littler, or should I pick you up some at the regular store. I went to costco today and they are out. It comes in tomorrow and I could pick it up either then or thursday if your doing ok. I'm going to wait for mine just because I rteally prefer the costco stuff!

Djinny used to be a big chewer as well. She could destroy a set of shoelaces in under ten seconds. And bookmark tassels, phone cords, headphone cords, rug fringe... My mom finally had to just cut off all the fringe on her big rug since Djinny had left it a ragged mess. Djinny's finally seemed to have grown out of it, at least mostly, so maybe there's hope for Theoden.

Ten seconds? Holy crap! Theo got to my headphone cords a while ago (only one ear-piece, so I can put of getting a new pair for a bit, at least...) He messes with shoelaces sometimes, but usually just a little bit.

How old was she when she finally grew out of it? I always thought chewing was a kitten thing, but Theo's two or three....

Ah, well, it might not be for awhile. :S Djinny just turned 12 on May 1, and she's only recently stopped chewing like a puppy.

But look at the bright side....um...at least Theoden has strong, healthy teeth.

I was planning on hitting the 1:30 one, since I only have class until 11:30, but I've been eyeing my work load and wondering if I should even stay that long. I hate the end of the quarter, it's always so nasty and full of work!!!

Well, I hope you didn't have to work too hard! I have been pretty stressed lately, but nothing too serious... :) Just more contemplations of too many depressing topics in too short a time... But, all is well!
