For the second day in a row, I've forgotten my book on the kitchen table when I go to work. That's really starting to get annoying.

I also forgot my library books, too. Darn.

And one last gripe - there are absolutely no interesting anthropology classes open in the fall, and Danish 101 conflicts with my stupid Statistics class. I'm beginning to think this is a sign that I should just give up on the whole fifth year idea.

And there wasn't a lot of interesting stuff for this summer either. Anthro is going down the tubes :p

It's really frustrating - there were a bunch of classes I would have taken last quarter, but now that I'm trying to fill a whole schedule with them? Nothing. *Growls*

Danish 101? You're learning Danish? I think I missed something. ;)

Let me know if you want any help. Jeg taler flydende dansk. *g*

I haven't started yet - a friend from my anthropology class is taking it this fall, and I want to take a second language, especially a Scandinavian one.

If I end up being able to take the class, I will probably be taking you up on that offer!

I'm always amazed that anyone would voluntarily subject themselves to learning Danish. And in complete awe of them. ;)

The two most important Danish words to know are 'øl' (beer) and 'skål' (cheers). After that, everything becomes easier. *g*

I'm likewise amazed that anyone will do so with English. It's a messy language, sometimes even for native speakers.

I'll try to remember those. Seems like everything is a little easier after 'beer,' doesn't it? *G*

Yes, you should always drink a beer before doing anything - except driving, of course. ;)

Danish is even worse than English when it comes to the difference between the written and spoken word. We have weird pronunciations sometimes, and we mumble terribly. *g* And yet, every year new foreign students learn it. Amazing. :)

The mumbling thing should be interesting - I've already learned to leave off the end of words for French, so I suppose now I'll just add mumbling to my repetoire. ;)

You're all set, then. *g* It's probably easier than I think it is, but I'm still glad I learned Danish as a baby. ;)
