drabble post - FMA and X-Files

All drabbles are what I'd call tame, with no explicit sexual content or other inappropriate material - after all, I'm writing these things on my office computer at work! ;)
The first drabble of the day belongs to
nekokoban, who requested "Full Metal Alchemist - the gimp brigade and miniskirts." I apologize for making up a holiday.
Constitution Day, celebrated throughout the civilian population as a great excuse for outdoor parades, barbecues, and concerts, was a much more low-key affair within the military buildings of the capitol, but most people found ways of nodding to the traditions despite being stuck in the office. Edward Elric had made a festive sparkler of Havoc's morning cigarette, and then been chased across the building by Colonel Mustang's equally festive fireballs after a snide remark.
Riza Hawkeye's contribution won the most approval, however. No one knew where she'd found a miniskirt exactly matching military colors and cloth, but no one complained.
Next,
lennaofmidearth's request: "X-Files, Mulder/Krycek involving garter belts."
"What the hell are you doing here?" Mulder’s gun was up before he’d fully recognized the man before him.
"I could ask the same." Krycek lounged, all boneless grace and an irritating smile on Scully's immaculate white couch.
"Get out," Mulder growled. "Scully doesn’t want you lurking in her apartment waiting for her.”
“Who said I was waiting for her?”
“Out before I shoot you.”
Krycek stood slowly, eyeing Mulder with an amused grin. “Souvenir, Spooky?” He held out his hand, a black satin garter belt sprawled across it like a lace-trimmed viper. “Drop the gun and it’s all yours.”

Date: 2005-06-22 09:48 pm (UTC)Ooooo... yay Krycek. You did a really good job with him and how he's crazy-obsessed-in-love with Mulder and Mulder being clueless as usual. ^_^

Date: 2005-06-22 09:52 pm (UTC)Whee, thank you! I think it's less that Mulder's clueless than that he's doing his best impression of an ostrich, when it comes to Krycek - in properly contradictory Mulder form, in this case he wants very much not to believe!

Date: 2005-06-22 10:27 pm (UTC)...Is it possible Cory Raines is just a masochist? He keeps ending up around all these men who want to blow him up. *g*

Date: 2005-06-22 11:42 pm (UTC)Possibly. Man, now I want to watch that episode again. Krycek go boom.

Date: 2005-06-22 11:51 pm (UTC)...And that just brings to mind the improbable, yet appealing and slightly frightening mental image of Scully meeting Amanda. God... they'd hate each other. And Amanda'd flirt with Mulder just to piss Scully off. XD

Date: 2005-06-23 01:20 am (UTC)Well, it depends what mood they catch each other in. If Amanda is on a "Duncan is stupid" fest, then they might get along famously. XD
Ah, I just remembered. When did you want to go see "Batman Begins"? I'm really itching to see it and I'd like to get together with people or persons.

Date: 2005-06-23 01:40 am (UTC)Hmm, good point. They could have one hell of a "guys suck" night together. ....oh dear god make the Amanda/Scully crack-bunnies go away, please. XP
Oooo, that's right! Umm.... I have work til 6pm or so tomorrow, and a career fair in Mary Gates on Friday followed by going out with Toby... how's Saturday for you?
no subject
Date: 2005-06-23 01:44 am (UTC)*snerk* Yeah, that'd be funny to see. *sets out crack at your feet for the bunnies*
Uh, Saturday evening would be great! (I have a thing that afternoon for my CHID class, sadly.)

Date: 2005-06-23 01:53 am (UTC)*Swats hand* Hey, no feeding the bunnies!!! The only bunnies we feed are the ones we want to keep, and there's no way I want that sucker on my conscience! ;)
Is there another time that would be better? I was kind of hoping for matinee, but if nothing else works I'm good with evening. It does seem like it'll be hard to find a matinee that'll fit our schedules. Oh, except maybe Sunday? I would think it would still be playing then...
no subject
Date: 2005-06-23 02:02 am (UTC)But, you like it when I feed the bunnies. I mean, whose given you all kinds of good ideas? *puppy eyes*
Okay, it looks like we could catch a 12:30 showing on Sunday! We should be okay for that.

Date: 2005-06-23 04:44 am (UTC)Well, yes. I'm just not sure Scully/Amanda (or Amanda/Scully? I tend to think Scully would be the dominant in that pair) would be something that I'd really... be good at writing.
Awesome, Sunday will be perfect! Do we know if the writing group is meeting on Saturday? If it is, I need to start working a bit harder on my original idea....

Date: 2005-06-23 04:46 am (UTC)I don't think that'd really work because Scully, so not gay. I was more thinking friendship of a sort.
Whoo! Uh, no idea. I won't be able to make it again because of CHID stuffs, but after this weekend I should be all clear for writing fun. (Ha! I'm going the easy route and just doing a word count thing.)

Date: 2005-06-23 05:08 am (UTC)Whee, cool.
...And there is official confirmation that Highlander 5 is in pre-production/writing phase. As Sean once said "You have no idea how much I need this movie not to suck." *Whimpers* Please? Please can it not suck ass? Could it please be just a little bit good?
no subject
Date: 2005-06-23 05:11 am (UTC)But you said you wouldn't watch it anyway, hating the style and all. And I don't think it'll suck. It'll probably be a good movie in it's own right, which I would rather have than anything else. Really, I have no issue with people who honestly care about a project having fun with it and exploring it in different ways.
And speaking of Highlander, I've picked up the Richie/Methos thing again. When I've got a sufficiant amount done, would you mind reading it over?

Date: 2005-06-23 06:00 am (UTC)No, not that one. They're doing "The Source" or whatever they're calling the next live-action. Which makes me nervous because... well, because I actually have investment in the characters, as opposed to whoever the hell this "Collin" or whatever MacLeod is. I can gripe all I want, but it's likely that I will not be able to resist a live-action, unless they do something horrifically dumb like... I dunno... neglect to have Methos or Joe make even token appearances. Whereas I can take or leave the anime, really - it's so different that I can basically ignore it, in my mind, if I want to.
Oh, cool. Yeah, I can totally read it over for you. *g*

Date: 2005-06-23 06:14 am (UTC)Ah. No idea about it really.
Whooo! I'll send it to your hotmail in a Word document. ^_^ Maybe even tonight.

Date: 2005-06-23 06:16 pm (UTC)*Shrugs* Nobody does, really, aside from it's being written by the main original staff writer, which is generally being hailed as a Good Change.
Okay, yay!

Date: 2005-06-23 01:26 pm (UTC)Sadly I don't know enough about FMA having only see 2 eps to know too much about that one :P

Date: 2005-06-23 06:14 pm (UTC)I'll have to show you a few more episodes, someday - it's a cute show. It gets really angsty and kind of disturbing, but it's still really good.
