Jun. 29th, 2005 08:28 amHave another interview today, and I think I finally figured out where the damned thing is. Now let's just hope I can get there, and get through the interview with minimal disaster.
I need to tailor my suit-jacket, but there's no time - I forgot about it until right as I was headed out the door, and didn't want to make myself late by going back for thread and needle. Anyway, I'm a wee bit nervous to do it - hemming pants is one thing, but taking in the shoulders of a suit-jacket is entirely another. It looks like it'll be easy... I'm just nervous of projects that look easy but are totally new to me.
NPR: "The president's speech was short on specifics, but long on rhetoric." *Gasp* Well, golly gosh darn, Billy-Bob - I'd never have guessed it.
Oh, and congratulations to Canada for once again making its southern neighbor look like the neighborhood's stodgy old widower sitting on his porch yelling about how disgusting and unreligious kids these dayas are, and spewing prejudiced invective about every minority who passes by. Just in time for Canada Day, too, I hear! For my part, I shall do as always, lately, and spend the Fourth of July wishing I could be proud of my country. And then go to jury duty the next day. *Sighs*

Date: 2005-06-29 06:45 pm (UTC)I'm not at all in a bitter mood today, of course.
Thanks for the good wishes, I really just wish I could go home. I'm not feeling fabulously with it, today.
