Spent hours last night reading Firefly fic. Have determined that Simon/Kaylee is probably the most popular pairing (at least on the listing I was digging through) and that I wholeheartedly approve of that. Mal/Inara comes in second (woohoo), then Zoe/Wash, with weird smatterings of Simon/River (or is that River/Simon? *twitches*), and then all manner of cracked up slash pairings. The only one that makes any sense to me at all is Inara/Kaylee - that, at least, I could sort of see... except their both in love with other people, specifically men.

It's not that I'm homophobic, people, it's that the men in this show are so gods-damned STRAIGHT. That, and it's nice to see a fandom that is actually accepting of heterosexual pairings. Damned novel, after my last few fandoms.

Anyway, I also overslept this morning. Still no word from the court, and no message from my other-boss, so I guess I'll call her in a bit.

Now that we're pretty much done with X-Files and chugging along through Oz at a good rate, we should probably watch Firefly soon... We keep meaning to, but other series keep grabbing our attention more. XD

Firefly is one series I haven't heard much on the slashability factor - I'll be curious to see it for myself if nothing else. :X

(btw - I'll be getting with you soon on meeting up or similar. Last couple of weeks have been mixed with badness and ugh.)

I think it's really really really good, myself - just a lot of awesome characters, and fabulous atmosphere, and a very short series to get through, too - only 14 episodes. And then a movie coming out in September, if you end up liking it. *g*

Slashability... well, some people seem to think it's possible. I don't see it, myself, at least not with the men...

No problem - what with jury duty and all, it's been a mess for me, too. Just let me know!
