Gacked from shadawyn and sigelphoenix, because we all need some time to go over the good side of things.


I'm thankful the books I put on hold will take a while to arrive,
Because that will negate my tendency to zip through a whole series and then feel sad that it's over.

I'm thankful my cat is always whiney and needy when I get home,
Because it means he missed me when I was gone.

I'm thankful I'm working seven days a week for the next two weeks,
Because my credit card bill was insane last month.

I'm thankful that I'm terrified of the cash register at my new job,
Because the fear makes me less likely to get cocky and do something stupid.

I'm thankful I get bored sometimes at the office,
Because I'm getting paid to hang out on the computer. ;)

I'm thankful I have a ton of socks and things with holes in them,
Because it's a great excuse to watch a movie while I mend them this evening.

I'm thankful my down comforter makes me wake up overheated,
Because it's gonna be sooo nice in the winter.

I'm thankful I was late to work this morning,
Because Theoden wanted attention, it was worth being a little late to give him some good snuggles.

Not inconvenience so much as "meh, the co-workers won't mind and I've been away so much lately we deserve this."

Besides, the world exists for the convenience of the cat, never vice versa. ;)

One of the upper management was visiting a couple of weeks ago, and he declared that too many people were getting paid to do nothing, so they've been letting people go home sooner if they request undertime, and as a result, we've been busier.

I can see the business reasons, but I liked having time to read a couple of pages inbetween calls in the later part of the shift. ;)
