Work was insane today. The quarter is definitely going to be starting up soon, as all of a sudden there are faculty workshops and and all that on top of the usual student orientations, with the additional fun of people calling to confirm their reservations for rooms for fall quarter ("Oh, I'm sorry, you want the reservations desk, let me get that number for you...") and, my personal favorite, to ask for add codes. "Uh... you'll want to talk to the department the class is from, to get that." *Headdesk*
The good news is, I was all useful and perky for the faculty folks, so I got lunch out of the deal when they had a bunch of spare catered boxes. Woo! Delicious turkey and bacon club wrap, peanut butter cookie, little thing of pasta salad, and a bag of Tim's Cascade Chips. I saved the chips and half the wrap, will probably eat them tomorrow for lunch.
After all that, I spent an hour or so walking back and forth between the English Advising office and the Undergrad Advising Center, trying to get the paperwork for my second degree (!) fixed up. And then, after it was all settled, I went to the building with the Anthropology department, found their undergrad office... and no one was there. *Sighs* So I guess I have to go back tomorrow on my lunch break. I really want to get this dealt with ASAP, so that I can be totally sure I've understood everything correctly and will be able to get things done properly. Oh, and I applied for graduation in the spring! Go me.
So, I've been nice and productive. And now I'm going to make some tea, and settle in to figure out how the heck I'm going to fix a continuity problem I've already managed to cause within the first five pages of my original work. And I have some editing to do, also!

Date: 2005-09-08 04:35 am (UTC)This is the best pic I can find of The Sweater For Which I Seek. And, also, a very cute and happy River.

Date: 2005-09-08 04:56 am (UTC)The sweater doesn't look quite as open weaved as the ones we were looking at, is that because of the picture, or is the open weave your choice? I looked at the store by my house today, nothing new yet, I will look again saturday, and at the other stores over the weekend too. The elusive sweater WILL be found!
