Happy (belated) Birthday, [livejournal.com profile] maho_kiwi! I hope you had a good one!

Also, yay, Monday. Monday is my Friday, sort of. At least it's my day to whine and suck down tea while fluttering over the internet in the morning, and then go to one last four hour shift at the museum before I get a few days off from that nightmare job.

It was determined yesterday that my own personal Hell will definitely come equipped with highly chemical-treated water, lots and lots of drums, and a loud and obnoxious Mariachi/Salsa band. Who the hell builds a museum with a cieling opening next to a performance stage?

Also, that brand new 3-years-and-under exhibit? The one with the water table? Someone did a totally shit job of sealing the linoleum and caulking around the water table. It's gorgeous... and it's falling apart after less than two weeks of being open. Moronic ass-wads.

Well, that all just sort of sucks doesn't it? Well, like you said, at least it's Monday.
It dawned on me yesterday, when you said you were trying to find someone to work your Museum shift for you on the 30th for the Serenity premiere, that school will have already started by then and you should be down to Saturday only at the museum, so you shouldn't even be scheduled for that day, should you? Or did I misunderstand, and you were wanting to get someone to work your Saturday shift so you could stay out/up late and not have to go to work the next day?
I hope your Monday at the museum goes better than it sounds like your Sunday did.
By the way, I want to book a reservation for us to eat at the Queen Mary for your birthday...what day is best for you. since I don't know your plans with your friends or you Dad. Let me know as soon as possible, ok?
I went there yesterday for lunch, and the food was soo good.
Unless you have a different place you'd rather go (it IS eccentric, but I loved it) The owner is a friend of John and Be's and she has over 70 types of tea that she serves and sells. She's so fun and really cute!

We talked about all of this on the phone, so I won't reiterate the answers. All I'll say is that yes, I'm scheduled for Friday and trying to get off it, and yes, I'm scheduled for Saturday the 1st. No, I'm not happy. I don't really have a choice on it though.

You get all the fun stuff don't you? I hope you are out of there soon for the sake of your sanity.

I'm keeping it at least until I get my final financial aid offer so I know I have enough to pay for fall quarter. After that... well, we'll see how I feel on that one day a week.

Job bitterness leads to stress and heartburn. I know. We must share a toast to sucky jobs everywhere. *hugs you*

Stress, definitely, hearburn... gah, I hope not. Not yet.

*Hugs and toasts with tea* The thing to remember is 'this too shall pass,' I suppose. That, and the fact that they give us money. ;)
