There is a feckin' drum circle... in my backyard.

No, really. They're actually two or three houses over from us, but it sounds from my bedroom or from the back door in the kitchen as if they are camped out in our backyard. Now, I don't mind drum circles during the summer, when I'm camping out at an SCA event. In fact, I honestly like those. Lends atmosphere. But in October? At midnight? In a residential neighborhood? What the hell are these people thinking?

They're screaming and cheering and... doing that Arabic Xena-Warrior-Princess cheer thing that you hear at SCA events. And as grateful as I am that this'll add wonderful color to my story for why I'm calling in sick tomorrow at the museum... yeah.

They seem to've stopped. *Crosses fingers*

Oh, and Serenity? It's more traumatizing the second time around, because you know when to expect the bad stuff, so you're anticipating it. XD

That'd teach 'em. Run out there on the back deck in my over-sized lime green bellydancing costume that doesn't fit anymore, turn on the light, and dance in my wonderful "I can't remember half of what I learned 'cause that was three years ago and I sucked ass at it even then" way.

Of course, that spider'd probably eat me long before the the hippies noticed they had company.

I really loved Serenity last night. I will be seeing it again soon, and I can't WAIT to see the rest of the series. *Sobs*

Yeah, we've got a great big one waiting outside our back door. I think he's hoping we'll forget about him and take a jaunt outside. ;)

*Laughs* Actually, it does. I was honestly more amused than anything else, and I thought it sounded an awful lot like SCA folks. So that proves it!
